Make the site more personal - add announcements to Workouts page

Issue #48 resolved

I think it could be important for new users to realize that this is an informal "as is" tool. It might be a good idea to personalize the site a little bit more, so that new users understand that it is not some faceless "Rowing Incorporated"n that is providing the service.

A couple of idea for that.

[7:11]
1. An "about me" under the about tab.

2. Make the workouts page the "home" page for each user and include the subscribe and the what's new at the bottom of that page.

"Debian GNU/Linux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by applicable law"

The welcome email warns the user that this is a beta tool

Certainly no warranties, but beyond that, I think it would be good for new users to feel like they have joined a club or forum and that they should be kind and helpful

Not sure I understand your (1)

[7:14]
and with (2), you mean redirect all users to their Workouts page when they hit rowsandall.com?

gregsmith01748 [7:14 PM]
I think that a little bit about you personally, and a link to your rowing blog would make new users feel more empathy for you and be more understanding about why you might not be able to parse time strings the way they want

Users are finding their way to the bitbucket issues list ... I got 2 anonymous bug reports yesterday

Let me explain #2 some more. I was thinking that having a home page to land on after a user logs in would enable you to communicate to the users more easily that when it is burined on the about page. Take a look at the landing page for the C2 logbook.
