Something might be broken with "Split workout" function

Issue #537 on hold
Fabio F. created an issue

It's happening since a week, more ore less: when I split my workout (boatcoach csv uploaded on web interface), the second part is ok, but the first part still contains the whole workout.
I'm available if you need further details.
Thanks,
Fabio

Hi Fabio, could you please attach the CSV here? THanks! That way I can try and reproduce the issue on my local copy of rowsandall.com

    best regards, Sander

Ok, I was able to reproduce some weird things with the attached file.

Here the step by step operations I did

Below the pattern of the workout

I split the workout at 10:38 and I correctly get the two patterns:

    Here weird things begin.

Into the ***first*** (<- remember) part of the two, I go to “interval editor” and get this plot:

I input the “Workout Description” 7:00min/3:38min, click update and get

    I hit “save” and… voila.. I get…

… this is the pattern of the second part of the workout!!! i.e. “Issue test (2)”

And now the “Flexible Chart”… it’s something that has the same duration as “Issue test (1)” but it’s not the same workout and it’s not “Issue test (2)” either:

A last detail: when I upload the “Issue test (1)” workout to Trainingpeaks, “Issue test (2)” is actually uploaded.

That’s all, thank you for your support

    Fabio

Fabio, I tried it out with your file (on my local copy of Rowsandall) and wasn’t able to reproduce the described behavior. Could you try again and let me know if you get the same behavior as you reported or different? It is important to know if it is a rare glitch or a reproducible issue.

    Hi Sander,

No, unfortunately I coundn’t reproduce the issue either. Well, actually I hope this is good news but I previously got the same behaviour at least twice with this file.

I will let you know whether I should face the same problem in the future.

    Thanks,
    Fabio

Keeping on hold in case we are finding the issue again. Currently not able to reproduce

I uploaded this workout to my development server and split it at 10:33. I split it at 7:00/3:32 and got this:

Hi Sander, that’s what I get too.

After defining 7:00/3:32 intervals, did you hit “save”?

Only when I save, the second part of the split workout pops up.

Hitting the Save button (above the blue “Reset to last saved”) results in this page.

So we do not reproduce the whole problem again.

Don’t know if taking all the steps in a row or in two times makes a difference.

Could you try again split → define intervals → save ?

    Sorry for bothering

Nope, I could not reproduce the issue (neither the “x-axis interval longer than duration” one) with none of the two csv I sent you.

I won’t give up (if it appears again).

    Thanks for the prompt support

    Fabio
