Tag for beta (or release of non-beta ?)

Hi, I work for a HPC cluster. Our users are starting to request the new version of Relion. Unfortunately, there is currently no tag, nor release of your software since it is in beta. This makes it virtually impossible to reproduce or confirm that we have a version that is static in time.

What is the timescale before you can either tag something as a "beta1" or make a production release ?

The stable release will be tagged as 3.0. I cannot tell when, though.

During the beta test, the program is updated continuously. Please use Git commit IDs for version control.
