Tightrope is a JSON-RPC 2.0 implementation, with a server transport provided via a simple wire protocol:

<size><json message>

size is a 4-byte unsigned long int. It indicates the length (in bytes) of the JSON message to follow.

Both client and server use this same method to pass JSON back and forth in request/response JSON-RPC cycles.

The protocol should be trivial for any client (or server) language to implement.

Adding a second HTTP transport based on CherryPy is planned to allow services to be available via both protocols at the same time (for direct browser accessibility, etc.)
