PyCA now compiles correctly on OSX 10.8.5 (snow leopard) without CUDA support. It also does not seem to have affected the linux build, everything still works. I don't have a mac with an nvidia card right now so haven't been able to test CUDA. However, these changes are pretty minor, and future changes for mac support will also likely be relatively minor, so I propose merging this into master.
