Lifer and endemic logic is unexpected, want different queries

<b>What is the expected output? What do you see instead?</b> I get, selecting the U.S.: Total species 296 (of 991, 8 endemic, 594 lifers)
When I select 'only endemic' I see the 8 U.S. endemics, none of which I have seen.
When I select 'only lifers' I see only birds I have NOT seen anywhere in the world.
Looking at the Galapagos, and selecting 'only endemic' I get the list of all Galapagos endemics (might be what was intended), properly showing me which ones I have seen. The count is for all endemics, not the ones I have seen (which I would have expected it to be).

The lifers seem to be those birds on the list which I have not seen anywhere, is that how it was intended?

Yes, that's the intent - lifers are birds that would be lifers for you. I'll change the text for this option from "Only lifers" to "Potential lifers", which will (I think) make this a bit clearer.
Do you have a need or desire to display the species you've seen somewhere which were lifers when you saw them there?

OK, well then it is working perfectly and I do see the usefulness in that--I have prepared just such a list before some trips.

So, this is all working exactly as it's meant to - endemic shows you all the birds of that country endemic to it, whether or not you've seen them, lifers are those that would be lifers for you. (These happen to be what I personally want to know about a country.)
What features are you looking for? I'm guessing that the features you want are "things you've seen that are endemics" and "things you've seen that were lifers when you saw them there?" I suspect these would actually belong in "Show reports" rather than "Browse by location".
