Scythebill 10.6.1 can't read my list (from Scythehbill 10.5.1)
Original issue 186 created by adam_winer on 2014-09-27T12:48:22.000Z:
What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Attempting to open my saved Scythebill list using 10.6.1 2. 3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Instead of seeing the opening page I get an error message, 'Bad file / File "BBN List.bsxm" could not be loaded, and may not be a valid Scythebill file. (Details about the problem may appear in the console)"
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 10.6.1 on Mac OS 10.7.5
Please provide any additional information below. This may be the same kind of problem that scuppered 10.6.0. I attach my list in case it is helpful. Thanks.

Fixed the problem in revision 1057.
If a checklist: - Has a sighting (or custom checklist entry) that is affected by a split - And is in a location covered by a built-in checklist - And none of those split forms are listed on the built-in checklist for that location ... than the upgrade failed.
In this case, the unlucky circumstance for your list was your custom Sabah checklist - it listed Uniform Swiftlet for Sabah, which I think is inaccurate, but at any rate isn't on Scythebill's Malaysia list.
I've attached an upgraded version of your list that you can use without further issue; I'll have to ponder whether this issue is severe enough to merit another immediate release (it probably is).

Thanks very much for working on this. Unfortunately I still can't seem to read the list that you sent using the new Scythebill. I still get the same error message. I will try deleting some checklists.

Make sure you're downloading and opening the "BBN List.bsxm" towards the bottom, not the one you originally uploaded. I just retested, and if you download that one it does work. To make it really clear, I've reattached it - and the name is now "BBN List fixed.bsxm".

Yes I was careful to open the "fixed" file and I get the same error message when I try to open it with 10.6. I have now deleted the entire Sabah checklist and my list is still not readable by 10.6. I'd be happy to delete all other custom checklists too but I can't remember if I added others or what they are. Not sure what to try next. Maybe I'll try re-downloading 10.6. I attach my current list (no Sabah checklist, still won't open) -- maybe you can figure out why it won't open, though it sounds like maybe it will open for you.

10.6.2 is out; if you're still having any problems with 10.6.2, please let me know!
