  1. Bougainville is part of Pacific, not Australasia.
  • Consider making an Australasia following Eremaea ("Australia (mainland states, Tasmania, Norfolk Island, Macquarie Island, Ashmore Reef and Cartier Island, and Lord Howe Island), New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, and the Indonesian provinces of Papua and Maluku. We do not include Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Christmas Island, nor Heard Island in this listing region."), and making the !Bougainville part of an Australasia (ABA) synthetic region.
  1. Kazakhstan has European portions! (west of the Ural River) - West Kazakstan and Atyrau should be in Europe, and Western Palearctic

  2. Egypt is partly in Asia - the "Egyptian governates of Port Said, North Sinai, and South Sinai" should all be considered part of Asia.

There's other minor bits - Isla de Malpelo of Colombia is Pacific, for one - but that's getting to pretty minor details.

I'm less sure about Madeira/Azores than I was before. eBird says they're in Europe, but the maps on the ABA site sure make them seem out of Europe (but in WP, of course).

Should revisit the others too to be sure.

... though now I think I've done the completely wrong thing and should have kept Bougainville in Australasia and moved the others in and added "ABA (Australasia)" that matches its definition.

So, if anyone were really interested, we might split up Kazakhstan and Egypt. But - this really shouldn’t happen unless we can provide checklists for those two countries for each half… unless we just decide to ignore any contributions of Egypt to the “Asia” synthetic list, and any contributions of Kazakhstan to the European list. Which is probably mostly OK.
