Issue with "countable" species
Issue #275
resolved
Hi: When I entered Monk Parakeet, seen in Austin, TX, it does not show up in my species count, being marked as "escapee." However, it is on both the ABA and Texas checklists, so it should "count." On the other hand, a record of African Collared-dove, which is on neither of those checklists, does count in my list. Why is this? Thanks John Thomlinson

Monk Parakeet was incorrectly listed as "escapee" (not established) for the Texas list; it should have been marked as introduced.
So Scythebill automatically marked your sighting as status "Not established", and that status doesn't count.
I will correct this in the next version of the checklist, but Scythebill isn't smart enough to fix your sighting for you. But you can immediately override Scythebill's defaults for your sighting - just find that sighting of Monk Parakeet, and change the status from "Not established" to "Introduced", and it'll count.
(African Collared-Dove isn't on the checklist at all, so Scythebill doesn't attempt to set the status.)
