Copy menu items not copying from Notes

From a user:

I have a PC with i5 processor and Windows 10. When I show reports, highlight some text in the Notes box, and click Edit and Copy in the menu bar, the Paste function doesn’t show anything in WordPerfect or Windows Notepad. When I use Control + C the Paste function does work in both programs.
