Trouble Importing from Birders Diary
Scythebill 14.3.0
Windows 10 Home Version 1803
When I try to import the cvs file from Birders Diary I get the message : Import Failed No "Name" header was found; this is required.
Thanks for any help.

reporter Adam,
Thanks for your quick response, and on a Sunday. You should be out birding!
I am on version 5.0.54 of Birder’s Diary which, when I check for updates, tells me is the latest version.
To create my .csv file from Birder’s Diary I did File>Import/Export>Sightings>Export.
I have tried it without adding dates and adding a start and end date.
I hope this helps. I am not looking forward to manually adding 1,000 + sightings.

BTW, Scythebill was touted in the Sarasota rare bird alert by a satisfied user. I would be surprised if you didn’t get some new clients from that alert.

reporter Adam,
I also imported the Csv file into excel and reexported it. Scythbill unsurprisingly couldn’t import that either.

Thanks, BIll! The shortly-forthcoming version of Scythebill will support Birder's Diary 5 for real. I think that the existing support is what some much older version of Birder's Diary created, but can't say for sure.

Bill, what version of Birder's Diary is this?
Also, can you say exactly how you produced the export from within Birder's Diary?
I don't have the software myself, and this is very different from the export sample I received from another user. Not sure if it's because of a different version of Birder's Diary or a different export from within it.
