Not all lifers are counted in the total
Issue #582
invalid
My lifer report spreadsheet has 2406 rows, but the total shown on Scythebill shows only 2400. I found one of the wrong counts in Woodpeckers: the program shows (76/233), but 77 birds are listed in the program and spreadsheet.

reporter I see. I didn't understand how it was working.
The uncertain id must have come from a taxonomy update because I don't remember ever adding anything like that. Fortunately, I've been able to resolve all the uncertainties and add a few ticks.
Thanks.

Taxonomy updates never set a sighting to uncertain id. That only happens if a user does it.

Working as intended. The lifer count is countable species. This excludes things like “spuhs” and hybrids, as well as uncertain identifications. The spreadsheet outputs all records, not just countable ones.
You have 4 “sp”s - one of which is Hairy/Downy Woodpecker, which is the one difference in Woodpeckers.
You also have two “Uncertain IDs” - Whistler’s Warbler and White-tailed Nuthatch.
That’s exactly the difference of 6; Scythebill is very much counting correctly.
