Required to Add different terms under "Location Type" when adding New locations for Sightings

Issue #61 resolved
Adam Winer created an issue

Original issue 61 created by adam_winer on 2012-11-25T13:57:08.000Z:

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Enter sightings 2. Location (enter new location) 3. Next 4. Location type

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Under location when we add New locations (i am based in India), We need more terms like "Area", "Village", "Wildlife Sanctuary", "National Park", "Biosphere Reserve" so that the location type is listed perfectly. Right now its is restricted to more Urban terms i can say.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.8.6 on Windows Vista Home Basic.

Please provide any additional information below. It is a wonderful Birdlisting software, exactly the kind ive been searching for, As i dont know anything in programming will only be able to suggest any positive changes if allowed. Thanks a lot Adam.

Good idea. Not sure I want to go down the road of one type for all the various kinds of parks - in the U.S.A, we've got, say:

County Park State Park National Park National Monument National Wildlife Reserve

... just to name the really common public ones. And parks change from one type to another over time. But "Park/Reserve" would be useful. And agreed that "City" just sounds off for anything that isn't urban (the intent is to cover towns, etc.)

    Thanks for the feedback!

Added "town" and "park" types, which I think achieves the critical part of this. Not eager to add "village", "hamlet", etc... or multiple types of parks, as mentioned above. This'll be in the next version.
