Group sales of products makes sense not only for increasing the sales of individual products but for example when the product has to be completed and made up of different parts (that are common to many others).

Product bundles are implemented using Shopper Editable Fields (Custom options), if SKUs are assigned to option values.
The UI still requires some work, but that's the idea.
