Prog Suggestion

What: A simple prog for an armor-repairer, could be mprog, rprog, or oprog. A PC would bring their damaged armor to a particular room or mob and pay to have the piece of armor repaired. If the piece is too damaged, they will be informed it is beyond repair. If it can be repaired, the PC will be told the cost, the time it will take, and if they agree, they will be given a ticket. The ticket will be that which they use to reclaim their goods. If they lose the ticket, they lose the armor. The cost should be higher than what it would be for a PC to do it, to encourage PC to PC trade but if none can be had - then they can pay to have it done through this avenue.

Where: Preferably test with the Guard first, giving them low-cost repair for about 5cp a piece per repair job.

Why: I have seen this done for about 15 years on Armageddon. I know it to be a prog, but not sure what kind of prog. It gets armor repaired up to a point and PCs are spending coin. This is also the same way that they have their armor or clothing sized for your character. If a PC is a Small but buys a Large, they take it to the armor-repairer or clothier to have it adjusted in size. Timing varies from 6 OOC hours to 6 OOC days depending on the level of repair or sizing done.

Yes, it is easier to just reload an object using the same variables but its not as realistic as having only so many repairs doable on armor.
