YaRSS2 plugin does not respect move to directory

When downloading torrents automatically with Deluge 1.3.13 on Linux (MINT 18 in my case) via the modified YaRSS2 plugin, the move process for completed does not respect the directory specified in the Move Completed option of the Edit Subscriptions > Options dialog. Instead, the subdirectories are created below the user's home directory and the files are placed there. Open reopening the dialog, the user's home directory is shown as the Move Completed directory.
