Whle we're waiting for everything to settle on a replacement for Nyaa.se, as a stopgap (later to act as a fallback), could you add Horriblesubs's new RSS feed as a data source?

A Nyaa.se behavioral mirror that I found seems to work pretty well. It's speedy, but some of the functions could be a bit more streamlined.

Edit: There is an almost identical "Nyaa" server that I've been getting stuff from, and it's Nyaa.si. Just wish I could snag torrents from it using the YaRSS2 plugin.
