HEVC encodes displacing AVC/H.264 encodes in follows list

Issue #169 new
Scott Summers created an issue

This is the first example I’ve seen, but in follows, if an HEVC encode of an episode is posted before the AVC encode, the HEVC encode is accepted as that numbered episode rather than the AVC encode.

For example, the follow this came up with:

  • Mugen no Juunin: Immortal
  • Subber: “Erai-raws”
  • Quality: 720p Only (HD)
  • H264 Profile: Don't Care
  • Source: Any

What the follow picked up was what was posted first, namely: “[Erai-raws] Mugen no Juunin - Immortal - 13 [720p HEVC][Multiple Subtitle].mkv”.

What came later and should have been picked up was “[Erai-raws] Mugen no Juunin - Immortal - 13 [720p][Multiple Subtitle].mkv”.

With HEVC encoding becoming more popular, I don’t know whether changing “H264 Profile” or adding a separate HEVC/H265 profile as an option would be better (since HEVC has 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit encoding profiles). But checking whether an item is saying it is an HEVC encode is something to do to avoid this issue.
