comments on multi-word chunks display incorrectly

Specifically attaching a comment annotation to a string of words causes odd duplication in the display. Commenting on "kept warme with mine owne breath" becomes "kept warme warmewarmewith withwithmine minemineowne owneownebreathwarme with mine owne".

    This has been corrected by dropping the use of the merge feature from the annotaiton service, which is where the duplication was happening.
