Can you have the current mode be visible in the lower left or right hand corner?

I'm working on a toolbar with shortcut icons for some of the different modes which should somewhat address this issue, but I agree that a status bar would be useful. It's just that in XCircuit, that thing had a ton of info but was so obscure that I'm not sure I even noticed if stuff there was changing. I'll see how it looks in this.

Regarding the current mode: add on when I'm drawing a wire/line, or placing component! It would be nice :)

Added several status bar hints for the current mode. Fixes issue #4.
