We recently updated Odin from version 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11 and discovered random thread locks during the build of the players. The chance is about 3/5 builds. A revert to the previous version was resolving this issue.
I can give you some information about our project details:
- Unity 2018.2.16f1
- We build from command line
- We use Folder Assemblies (although Odin remains in Plugins)
- We use .Net 4.5
- We build for Windows/Mac/Linux
I think the lock is happening during the Asset import step when a fresh checkout of our repository is used. No Asset Cache server is involved.
