XSRF Security Token Missing error in Jira Bitbucket Plugin

I have installed the bitbucket plugin in Jira. I go to Administration/Bitbucket, I provide the name of the project, private and the URL. When i hit 'Add Repository' it gives me an error 'XSRF Security Token Missing'. It does not ask me for the user credentials as i have seen in other documentation. I am using Safari 5.0.5. I have tried going back and entering the same information with the same results.
