Issue #3433 wontfix

Modifying issue titles on Firefox does not work with vimperator

Sam Toyer
created an issue

Instead of saving the modified issue title, pressing enter simply inserts a new line in the title. Occurs on FF8/Gentoo/Linux.

I don't have direct access to Linux, but I created a simple test case and had a colleague give it a spin. Her results were consistent with what I see on OS X:

    keydown event.keyCode 13
    keydown event.which 13
    keypress event.keyCode 13
    keypress event.which 13

A Stack Overflow question led me to believe that our use of "keydown" is the problem, but this doesn't appear to be the case. What output appears in the Firebug console when you type enter into the textarea on the jsFiddle?

    Same as your results:

    keydown event.keyCode 13
    keydown event.which 13
    keypress event.keyCode 13
    keypress event.which 13

Title editing still not working, though. Firefox's debug console isn't saying anything either, which is very strange. It could be a problem with one of my extensions, I'll try disabling them and then post the results here.

    Aha! The problem was Vimperator.

Somewhat unusual, because when I change that jsFiddle to .blur() the textarea and run some Javascript on keycode 13, it works fine with Vimperator. Feel free to close this bug - it's most likely Vimperator's fault.

There's another (possibly related) bitbucket compatibility issue on their issue tracker, I'll confirm/add to that. Sorry to waste your time with this, looks like it's probably not a problem with bitbucket at all :S
