Issue #3786 resolved

Display commit date in commit overview

In the commit overview (Repository > Commits), it now shows for each commit how many days ago it was committed. While this is useful for the first few days after a commit (yesterday, the day before), I think it would be more useful to display actual dates after 2 or 3 days. This would make it easier to look up a commit for a particular day.

    Hi

Bitbucket displays dates within the last month in this format ("3 days ago") and dates in the format 2012-03-19 for dates beyond that.

You can see the exact date and time of a commit by hovering over the commit date to bring up the title text tooltip.

    Regards

    Nicolas

I only went back 2 or 3 weeks in the history, so I didn't see that after a month the format changed. For me "28 days ago" is already hard to figure out, especially if there is a month change in between, but that's personal preference.

I didn't know about the tooltip; that's a useful tip. Thanks!
