Issue #4997 resolved

The embed function outputs garbage

Since bitbucket renewed their User Interface (around October 2012), the Embed function outputs garbage instead of usable code snippets or else.

I included the full output in a text file. Since I can't attach more than one file, this is the link: https://bitbucket.org/axezn/zen-axe/src/c0b5ff8165ee1939108922dcf10818c3ff4d3b6b/secondlife/scripts/compileviewer?embed=t

    Hi Tarnix,

The embed does what it always has, spit out the JS that you embed into an html page.

The idea is that if you stick that text into a script tag in an html page it will render the source inline. I have tested your example and it renders fine when placed inside script tags.

Please let me know if I am missing something.

    Cheers,

    Dylan

    Hi Dylan,

Ah, I see. Given that not everybody understands JavaScript nor recognize it at first sight, I would suggest to make it a bit more first-time-user-friendly. While I like the minimal approach, it is confusing; At first, I tried yo put it inside php tags... Perhaps add a little message on top of the output such as "Copy and paste this code inside javascript tags:"?

    Kindly, Tarnix
