Issue #5697 resolved

Wiki pages are .md files and they don't render correctly

Branko Vukelic

In a repository I've just created, I edited the home page, and the markup did not get rendered at all (it was rendered as plain-text). After cloning the repo, I noticed that the file for the homepage was Home.md not Home.wiki. After renaming and pushing, the markup showed up.

It's hard to tell. New wikis default to markdown, so that obviously works. The one time I had this issue, it was actually a markdown template which was interpreted as the old wiki syntax. I guess we can say it's fixed now. :)

Had to dig the internet to find this info... Not clear on the Markdown help, not clear on the python markdown (if supported).

Anyways, thanks for the info !!
