Issue #6546 open

Unable to make a pull request (BB-7737)

Yeuk Hon Wong
created an issue

I can't push a pull request in the new fork.

It hangs, probably because I can't select which branch I want for master repo. Both are new repo that I just created. Any idea whether this is some permission issue or what? The ajax loading icon loads forever.

Thanks,

Thanks a lot! How long do you think it will take you to fix this? I guess I will leave this pair intact so we can follow up the issues. But meanwhile, I probably have to try to make a new pair of repos just to get my work moving.

    Is this a good plan?

You don't need to keep it around. I already created an internal test case.

I can't give you an ETA for the fix I'm afraid. This needs to be scheduled and make its way into an iteration.

Ah. I was a happy cat thinking deleting them could resolve issue. But sadly no. I can't do any pull request. What can I do? I deleted them and recreated, but PR is still broken. Can we have a workaround or pointers on how to resolve this?

If this has something to do with account, fine, I can delete the team account and recreate one. This bug is slowing down our development.

Please let us know how to deal with this meanwhile. Thanks.

-- edit -- I created two new accs and still getting the same PR bug. AH :( hopefully we can get this resolved soon.

What are you trying to do? The bug is with the destination repo being empty. When that is the case, you cannot create a PR into it. This is what I raised an internal issue for and what we will prioritize to fix.

Are you saying there are other problems too, or are you just trying to create a PR into another empty repo?

Please fix this. It will really make things more efficient. Currently we upload a empty text file before a team member can fork the repo just so that the repos can be linked.
