Some strings in the Bitbucket UI aren't translatable or are malformed for translation (BB-8228)

created an issue
  • “Открыть” is wrong translation for “Open” when latter is used as an adjective (“Filters: Open” filter in issues means “select issues that are open”, but “Фильтры: Открыть” looks not like a filter, but like an action: “open a new filter(?!)”).
  • When changing components it shows “изменил component на powerline” while it should show “изменил компонент на powerline” (second word is not translated).
  • When changing issue types it shows “помечен как enhancement” that looks like “ZyX-I (not the issue) was marked as enhancement”. To make the text consistent with other texts like “изменил component на powerline” it should show “пометил как enhancement”.
  • Issue types and priorities are not translated.
  • In the new/edit issue page “Kind” and “Priority” are not translated, in the existing issues they are translated as “Тип” and “Приоритет”.
  • When changing description of an issue it shows “изменить описание” (“to edit description”) which is also inconsistent with other actions’ descriptions. It should show “изменил описание” instead.
  • “Pull requests” section name is translated partly. Full understandable translation is something like “Запросы на включение изменений”, but I would suggest to translate this as “Merge requests” instead: “Запросы на слияние”. And also translate “Pull запрос” fully by “Запросить слияние”.
  • “Pull запрос” looks strange near “Сравнить”. It should use “запросить”.
  • “Последние обновленные” is a wrong name for the table header. It translates to “last changed” which is fine for header list, but in Russian this variant looks like a subject of (a link to) a separate list, header of a table column should be translated as “Последнее обновление”.
  • “Разрешить” is a strange action because it associates firstly with “Permit”. Worse, hint to “Разрешить”: “Разрешить запрос”: cannot be translated back as “Resolve issue” at all, it is “Allow request” and nothing else. The first would better look if named “Закрыть” (“Close”) or “Выполнить” (“Implement”), hint should be more verbose: “Отметить задачу как выполненную и закрыть её” (“Mark issue as done (I know no good translation for resolved) and close it”). In any case “Issue” is translated as “Задача”, “запрос” in the hint to “Resolve” is inconsistent.
  • “Preview” button seen when creating issues is not translated. Neither are hints to other buttons.

    Language file downloaded from transfirex contains no possibility to solve

    • Issue types and priorities are not translated.
    • In the new/edit issue page “Kind” and “Priority” are not translated, in the existing issues they are translated as “Тип” and “Приоритет”.
    • “Preview” button seen when creating issues is not translated. Neither are hints to other buttons.

More, I fail to use PO or XLIFF files with transfirex: PO file transfirex fails to read back saying it contains syntax error even if I pass this file unmodified, with XLIFF it “accepts” the file (in quotes because I do not see any messages that file is accepted, but neither I see any errors), but with no visible action taken. Without this solving

    seems not to be doable (in-browser editor is slow, contains no features for massive string editing and has no hints about where the string is used (these hints are contained in PO file. Only in PO file)). Without these hints nobody is able to deduce fix for

    To make it clear: issue was reopened due to first paragraph (“… no possibility to solve …”), other complains are not the part of the issue.
