ssh: connect to host bitbucket.org port 22: Host is down fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Hey guys,

Getting this error when trying to clone a repository I definitely have access rights to (and I've added my public key)

git clone git@bitbucket.org:briteweb/acu.git
Cloning into 'acu'...
ssh: connect to host bitbucket.org port 22: Host is down
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

Kinda struggling to work out what's wrong... help?

    Hi

What output do you get when you run ssh -T git@bitbucket.org?

You should see output along the lines of

    $ ssh -T git@bitbucket.org
    conq: logged in as nvenegas.

You can use git or hg to connect to Bitbucket. Shell access is disabled.

    Cheers

    Nicolas

    git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false push -v --tags --set-upstream commonlib master:master Pushing to http:themountain@bitbucket.org/themountain/commonlib.git

    Unable to open connection:

Host does not existfatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists.

    Completed with errors, see above.

I thought I posted on here a while back, but apparently not. My issue was with LittleSnitch - an app I use to control my internet connection. So if anyone is using that, keep a look out :)
