Issue #7329 new

user's privilege: A given user should be able to get repositories' privilege which are accessible to he/she (BB-8581)

luantian avatarluantian created an issue

A given user should be able to get repositories' privilege which are accessible to he/she without repositories' owners! Currently all the privilege GETs require owners' access(password) https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BITBUCKET/privileges+Endpoint "Only the repository owner, a team account administrator, or an account with administrative rights on the repository can make this call. "

There is no way to get a given user's privilege on what repositories she/he have WRITE/READ/ADMIN privilege. This should be allowed using only the user's access without the repository's owner!

User case is when a user is granted "read/write/admin" on a repository but he/she didn't fork the repository. How to get its privilege against this repository without know the owner of it.

    Hi luantian,

Thanks for the suggestion. This does seem like a useful API endpoint. I've added this to our internal issue tracker, we'll get it prioritized and let you know when we've got more to share.

    Cheers,
    Michael

When you search for people that is "assignable" to an issue, on the website you can get a list of users. Although the API will always return "forbidden". Much of what the website delivers, should also be delivered in the endpoints.
