    Hi Mohamed,

Was there anything printed after * Connection #0 to host bitbucket.org left intact? It looks like your Git client successfully authenticated and was able to list the repository's references before it pushed, but then the output ends abruptly.

Also, if you paste another output log, be sure to censor out the lines that say "Authorization: Basic ...". The part in dots is your authentication credentials.

If you could confirm the following:

    • Does this happen with any commits you push to Bitbucket, or is it just this one repo you're trying to push?

    • If you have a machine running Mac OS X or Linux, does the same problem happen there?

    • Does this happen if you try pushing over SSH?

I suspect this is a bug in msysgit, and it might be specific to the commits you're trying to push and/or doing it over HTTPS. Using SSH might be a good workaround for now.

  4. Mohamed Abbas reporter

I noticed that this problem happen only when the repository (any repository) is empty. to overcome this problem i had to import any project form github to my empty repository.
