Issue #8881 wontfix

History rewrites pollute repository overviews

Antoine Pietri
created an issue

Whenever I rebase/rewrite my history in a git repository, it shows in the repository overview every commit since the commit I rebased as "stripped". I think it would be worth it to find a way to detect which commits were affected in the history rewrite, or at least show only one notification with all the stripped commits aggregated.

I understand on master / development (core branches for a team) but for feature branches I believe rewriting is occasionally (some would argue oft) necessary.

I like the fact that the rewrites (stripped commits) are displayed, but I agree with Antoine that it would be ideal if it were a little less noisy.
