Issue #8928 invalid

Unable to "git clone" although ssh works

Natalia Connolly
created an issue

I am unable to execute the following command: "git clone git@bitbucket.org:<repository>/<package>.git"

I get "conq: repository access denied". I can ssh into git@bitbucket.org without any issues, however. What could be the problem?

Note: I sent an email to technical support but never got a reply.

    Hi Natalia,

The correct format for Git URLs would be git@bitbucket.org:<owner>/<repo>.git. You can find the correct clone command in the header of the repository:

If you continue to experience difficulties, please check the repository permissions and ensure that the account with the SSH key you are using has permission to access the repository. Please contact Support at https://support.atlassian.com if you continue you experience difficulties.

    Thanks,
    Jon
