Issue #10126 closed

Show admin lozenges on team members page (so I know who to contact) (BB-11066)

Marcos Scriven
created an issue

I had an issue recently where none of the current committers to a fairly major Atlassian repo were admins. I thus had to seek Bitbucket support in order to find out who the admins were to contact.

It's possibly an edge case, and is probably in this situation from being a very old repo before the current default auth settings were in place.

Nonetheless it seems reasonable in general for the admins of a repo to be displayed somewhere.

I'm not sure everyone would necessarily agree with having their team's admin members displayed on the site and so I'm unsure we would be able to go down this path. However, anyone can contact the team's admins by sending them a message through the site (click the Inbox link in the account dropdown).

I don't see how I email the admin of, say, the AMPS repo? I looked in the inbox as you said, and it seems I have to know the name of the person to email in the 'Compose' form?

So I email 'atlassian' to find out who owns AMPS? Won't that send an email from 'bitbucket' that looks a lot like any of the other stuff we get every day about being given access to a new repo? And not only that, to the whole of Atlassian?

Scratch that, we already list the entire set of team members on the team's public member page.

I suggest we add an admin lozenge to the users with admin privileges and rank these users before the rest.
