Branch missing from "Branches" view

I pushed a new branch to our project. After more than a day, the commits on that branch were visible in the Commits page but the branch itself was not visible in the Branches view. This issue was not limited to my account - other teammates could not see the branch.

After clicking through "branch" link on the Commit page, the "Branch details" page (the view that is rendered when clicking on a branch in the Branches view) was visible. After returning to the Branches view, the branch was still not visible (refreshed the cache on my browser and still no luck).

Repeating the above process of going Commits -> [specific commit] -> Branch details ultimately made the branch visible in the Branches view.
