I just managed to do this. The plugin had been added to HipChat and by configuring it for a room it actually allowed me to authenticate with Bitbucket. So the problem seems to only be happening when one tries to configure it when installing the plugin.
@Vincent Duke If you try and install it and after the authentication fails try and configure it under the "Manage" tab of a rooms integration settings.
Please use the following Workaround for now:
Initiate the integration from Hipchat. In order for this to work, you must:
1. Update HipChat Server to the latest release.
2. Remove any previous Bitbucket Integration.
3. First log in to Bitbucket as an admin, and then log in to HipChat Server in another window in the same browser.
@Bob Violier The way it worked for me was to do the following. First from bitbucket uninstall the integration if it is installed, install it again and proceed until you get the error. Then goto hipchat.com go to one of your rooms settings -> Integrations. From there you should be able to find the bitbucket integration and complete it from the hipchat side. Then it seems to complete the integration, now everything is up and running at least it worked for me.
You will get a pop up to install the integration add on - click 'Install', and you should then be logged in to Bitbucket, and just need to hit enter, or approve. Once that is done, go back to the add ons page in Hipchat, and the integration should show - you can manage the settings and configure from there.
@Bob Violier@Omar Trejo You guy's are very welcome :) This feature is important to my workflow to help me and my team have an ongoing update on what's happening throughout the day. I can only imagine for larger teams than my small team of 3 would rely on this to stay up to date without having to keep refreshing the bitbucket page :P
I have re-installed integration on bitbucket and hipchat server as well. I'm able to manage from hipchat server but not from bitbucket. Whenever I clicked on grant access button. I an error as like the http://puu.sh/h5VUg/5098c5a2f1.png.
Nothing working for me.
A fix was deployed for Hipchat cloud customers, and workarounds are not needed any longer. For Hipchat server customers, the Hipchat team is still working on a permanent fix, but the workarounds listed in this bug report should work.
