Assigning an issue number in a commit using [ issue #N ]

I have found that if you reference the same issue in multiple commits and then you do a push of multiple commits, only one commit will be referenced in that particular issue.

Reproduce this way:

Make multiple commits and in the commit message enter "issue #[insert actual issue number]" but do not push them.

Once multiple commits are made and all reference the same issue number PUSH all of those commits.

When you go to look at the issue tracker for that specific issue only one will show in the comments. If you do the same thing but you push the commit as soon as you make it all commits will show up under that issue.
