Allow for "patience diff" differences display. (BB-12998)

The "patience diff" algorithm can show better differences and is available via the git command git diff --patience. It would be nice to make this available to the GUI based diffs as well, perhaps configurable on a per-user or per-instance basis when generating diffs.
