Merging accounts impossible, old account half-active

I wanted to merge my 2 accounts that use 2 different Gmail addresses. If I try to add my other email address at https://bitbucket.org/account/user/m_gol/email/, I get info: "MY_EMAIL_ACCOUNT is already in use by another user.". If I try to log in to this other account, though, I get redirected to a site that just says:

This user account is marked as inactive.
"
so effectively I cannot do anything.
