    Hi Everyone, We appreciate your passion, and understand the sensitivity around this issue. Unfortunately, we do not have a specific eta on when this issue will be solved. In the meantime, you can use the following workaround to have your information removed from the account:

    1. Contact our Customer Advocates team using the form at https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing.

    2. Please make sure to add the following information in your inquiry:

    • Bitbucket account URL.

    • Request the credit card information on file for the account be removed.

    • Make sure the email you enter in the form matches the primary email of the account in Bitbucket Cloud.

    • If the account is a Team, please make sure the email you enter in the form belongs to an Admin of the team.

    Please note, that the account/team in question will have to currently be on the free plan for the current billing period, and have no outstanding charges. If the account/team in question is on the free plan with overages for Pipelines, or LFS, then we will not be able to remove the card information until the current billing period ends.

    Once our Customer Advocate team process this request, it will take up to a week before the information disappears in Bitbucket Cloud. You can also feel free to reach out to the support team at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ with any questions. Feel free to mention my name specifically in your support request, and I will make sure to personally review.

    This answer is neither satisfying nor right. (or at least I don't get it) Have a look at the attached screenshots and point me to where I'm able to remove my credit card information.

    Hi Matthias, Can you login to manage the account at my.atlassian.com, and remove the information there as a workaround? I am currently filing an issue to allow the removal of the billing info when a plan is downgraded.

    It validates the credit card so you can't change it to random data. I'd like to think this isn't a ploy to keep an active cc on file, even if it's at the free level. Please finally fix this?

    I need to remove my PERSONAL credit card from a team I'm handing over admin of.

    Why isn't this an option?

    Just did this: information to 5305 5000 0000 0000 , exp 1-2100 , cardholder name NULL NULL.

    Hi Matthias and others having this issue, we are aware of this limitation, but the current integration with our billing system does not give us the ability to remove credit card details from the Bitbucket UI. This is currently being worked on but we have no timeframe as to when this will be available. As @Gary Sackett mentioned above, you can log in to https://my.atlassian.com with your Atlassian Account credentials (same as what you'd use to login to Bitbucket) and update your card details there, or contact Support and they will be able to assist in removing your credit card details completely from our systems.

    Some validation prevents 2100 as an year, but this seems to accept arbitrary year with this credit card.

    "5305 5000 0000 0000 , exp 1-2020 , cardholder name null null" did it for me.

    @Atlassian there are no words to explain how much you fail on this specific issue.

    this worked for me, it's sad you didn't put a delete option, i mean CRUD has just 4 operations, you missed just one
