Bamboo cloud lets us view wall boards for builds.

We need a similar capability for pipelines

Thanks for the feedback on this issue. We don't have any plans in the near term to address this, as we are focused on building other higher priority features in Pipelines.

If someone has time to build a wallboard based on the Pipelines API, I think that would be a great thing to make available to the community. I don't think it would be very challenging to write, and you can see examples of the API usage if you click around Pipelines with your browser's development panel open.

We'll keep this ticket open to continue tracking interest in offering a built-in solution for wallboards.

Hi Andrew, currently the Pipelines tab can be used as a workaround to show you the latest pipelines dynamically. Could you help me refine the requirements for the Wallboard by listing out what information you would like to see?

I presume that you're interested in the latest status of your main branches, is this correct?

    Thanks,

    Sten

In Bamboo we have a build dashboard that covers all builds (not just a specific plan) and you can choose to show all plans, favourite plans or filtered plans.

You have the option to show a screen that is suitable for a desktop and a screen that is suitable for a wall board (big white text, black background and green / red boxes for successful / failing builds).

Each box has the name of the plan (if master) or branch name (if not master), a sub heading with the name of the project that groups the build plans, time of last build and who triggered the build.

I would like something similar for pipelines at the bitbucket dashboard level , except we want to be able to have additional indicators for both builds AND deploys (bamboo only does build dashboards, which is annoying).

BambooWallboard.png is what we are going for as well. Would be great to get this back from our Bamboo builds as it's a great way for the whole team to see status and to loft nerf darts at the coder who breaks the build when we all get the notification of a failure.

Having build status of the main branch of each repo on the following would be a good and probably simple start...

    • team Overview page (https://bitbucket.org/<TEAM> and https://bitbucket.org/<TEAM>/profile/repositories)
    • Projects repository list page (eg https://bitbucket.org/account/user/<TEAM>/projects/<PROJ_NAME>)

With no dashboard to see all pipelines in one place it's clear pipelines currently could not replace Jenkins, this is a blocker to our team moving toward more pipeline usage.
