Word wrap in editor does not allow cursor interactions as expected

In the editor, clicking on any portion of a wrapped line effectively places the cursor in the "top" portion of that line instead of at the position that was clicked.

Steps to reproduce

  1. In Bitbucket, go to Snippets > Create snippet
    • I have the snippet a title and named the first file README.md
  2. Type a line that exceeds the width of the editor and note it wrap the line
  3. Use the mouse to click on a point in the line that is wrapped
    • Note that the cursor is as tall as the entire wrapped line
  4. Type something
  5. Note that the new text is placed in the top of the wrapped line instead of where the mouse clicked

When using the mouse to click on a point in the editor, I expect the cursor to be placed at that point, and subsequent edits happen from that point.

@Daniel Tao, yes, I am still experiencing this in Firefox Developer Edition on Windows 10. I did just validate that this problem does not happen on Chrome on Windows 10. Here's my version info:

    • Firefox Developer Edition 53.0a2 (2017-02-20) (32-bit)
    • Windows 10, version 1607 (OS Build 14393.693)
