Pipelines creation fails when the author does not have a Bitbucket account

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

When a Pipelines is created through the REST API for a a branch, it requires a Bitbucket account to be present for the author of the revision involved.

However, the author of a revision does not necessarily have to match a Bitbucket account (this is matched based on email). Currently this causes failures during the creation of a Pipeline.

      Workaround:

      • users without a Bitbucket account can sign up for a Bitbucket account, using the same e-mail address that they using in their Git/Mercurial configuration
      • users that have a Bitbucket account could also be affected if the email address of the Bitbucket account does not match the one used in the configuration of their local Git/Mercurial client. Information on how to address that can be found here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BITBUCKET/Set+your+username+for+Bitbucket+Cloud+actions
