Could not invite email error when current username contains unicode character

When inviting users to the repo from the Overviews page, the error message appears "There was a problem processing your request"

However, the request was sent successfully when viewed in "Settings > General > User and group access".

The problem only occurs when your current Bitbucket name has unicode characters in it. Adding existing Bitbucket username does not reproduce this issue. Sample error message on the developers console below:
