Resolution: Won't Fix
Description
This feature request is related to issue BCLOUD-14143. This is my first Bitbucket feature request , so hopefully it's in the right place!
Currently, the web UI uses commit date everywhere, including:
- The date column when viewing a repository's commit history
- The date shown when viewing a specific commit
I've found that in many of my use cases, the author date is actually the more useful than the commit date. For example, when using a rebase-heavy workflow the author date gives you a much more accurate of how code was developed chronologically. When I view my commit history locally (using the standard command line client), ordering my author date makes it easier to keep track of which changesets are which.
Would it be possible to give users the option of viewing and ordering by author date in Bitbucket's UI? I understand this would be a matter of personal preference, so would this make sense as a Setting/Lab/Integration?
