Description
Places that show "Commit Date" is actually showing "Author Date". I believe it should be labelled as such, or at minimum simply "Date", to avoid confusion.
Myself and a felllow developer, after a batch of rebasing and cherry-picking in our projects, were doubting we were doing the right things because the "Commit Date" in both the "commits" list or "Network" display did not update. It was only when we confirmed it is actually the "Author Date" that it made sense. The fact that the displays were using the git-documented "Commit Date" inappropriately added to the confusion.
