Team email forwarding can't be disabled despite footer in notification email

When any changes is done to a team repo settings, notification emails are sent out to other admins.

In the footer of the email, the following line is found: "Team email forwarding can be configured from the groups administration page"

The link leads to the groups config of the team. No configuration in regard to notification can be found there

    Hi Sam, sorry for the lack of response on this issue. This is a remnant from a deprecated feature that we need to clean up. We're investigating what exactly needs to be done. Stay tuned!

    The link in the email sends you to group settings. Each group that has admin privileges now includes a checkbox that controls email forwarding to admins.


    (This option existed previously; we removed it, this ticket was written, and we brought it back).

    Hi Alex,

    Any team settings change that would send you an notification if you changed it for your user account (adding/removing SSH keys, disabling 'required two step verification', etc.) will get forwarded to team admins.
