"abandoned transaction found" - Cannot push any more

I lost connectivity during a push and now I cannot push any more:

$ hg push
pushing to ssh://hg@bitbucket.org/factorchain/factorchain
searching for changes
abort: stream ended unexpectedly (got 0 bytes, expected 4)
remote: abort: abandoned transaction found!
remote: (run 'hg recover' to clean up transaction)

Running "hg recover" tells me there is nothing wrong:

$ hg recover
no interrupted transaction available

And yet when I try to push again, I get the same error.

I even re-cloned everything and tried a new push, getting the same error.

At this point no-one in the company is able to push any changes, which is severely impacting us.
