As a workaround for now, use the git revert command to revert the commit locally. A typical process for this would be:

  1. Fetch the latest from your repository
  2. Check out the branch that the commit was merged into
  3. Create a new branch for your revert git branch revert-1
  4. Run git revert {SHA1}
  5. Push up your new branch with the revert
  6. Create a Pull request to the original destination branch

Some users may wish to simply revert in place on the branch and push it up. But the process above follows the revert button's intended use case.
