Description
Our team used BFG to rewrite the history of a large repo (1.1GB according to BB) to use LFS. This effectively rewrites all commits that contained our big files as if we had used LFS the first time around. Looking at the blob size the biggest blobs were stored in LFS.
When we used push -f to move the changes to Bitbucket, the size of the git LFS used increased from 0 to 1.5GB (sure) but the size of the history increased from 1.1GB to 1.3GB.
We ported all branches.
